January 4, 2019Cheshire-based Insurtech specialist Aquarium Software has announced the appointment of Carl Kuehl to the position of Project Manager.
A seasoned IT professional with more than two decades working for the biggest names in Europe and North America, Carl has been tasked with the day-to-day running of projects in a consultancy capacity.
He will operate client-side, and as key lead on the delivery team, will oversee everything from client analytics to technical input to drive future client technical development.
After 16 years at Adidas UK, where he rose to IT Manager, Carl left in 1998 to work as a contractor and consultant for several years, working on design, deployment and installation of SFA systems for clients in Europe and the US. He then joined Swinton Insurance in 2005 as a senior member of the Information System Development Management Team, prior to joining Aquarium.
“The move to Aquarium Software is a very exciting one for me,” said Carl Kuehl.
“The people were a big draw as we professionally share so much in common.
Aquarium Software has made great strides in recent years and I believe I can bring a lot to the table as we look to further improve an already successful product and platform.
As a Cheshire man originally, joining Aquarium feels like a homecoming in more ways than one.
Aquarium’s next-generation software is undoubtedly where my technical heart is,” added Carl.
“We are delighted to have secured the services of someone of Carl’s calibre, background and experience,” said Aquarium Software managing director, Ed Shropshire.
“Carl’s appointment will help ensure our clients continue to receive the high level of service they have come to expect, while we continue to constantly innovate in our key pet and travel insurance markets,” concluded Ed.
Kuehl’s appointment is just the first of what is expected to be a series of senior staff appointments as the firm continues to develop its global client base and portfolio.
With ongoing growth in both the pet and travel insurance sectors, further staff recruitment announcements are expected to follow.
