ITIC Global is the main annual conference for experts in the travel and health insurance markets. Our team at the event will be joining more than 800 senior industry professionals to share viewpoints, learn about the latest issues and network with current and new contacts.
The recent collapse of Thomas Cook highlights how important it is to take out travel insurance and increasing numbers of people are choosing to buy their policies online rather than going through traditional channels. The insurance companies we work with have already achieved measurable benefits reducing operational overhead and delivering an improved customer experience by using our technology; for example, the ability to submit claims from an app and in many instances to have them processed and paid in real-time. We expect that the deployment of fully integrated, end-to-end digital platforms in insurance markets will be a major topic at ITIC 2019.
ITIC is a key opportunity for us to cement our plans for growing Aquarium’s business into the travel insurance sector and build on our expertise. This sector offers huge opportunities to develop how insurance policies are sold and improve customer service from policy sale and upgrades through to claims and emergency medical assistance.
Some of the keynote speeches will shed further light on this area. Notably, Estelle Lebar of Shift Technology and Berna Atac Okten of Marm Assistance, will be discussing how technology can improve business working processes and asking how software solutions can address issues of timely communication, claims management and customer service.
