Aquarium on the shortlist for the National Insurance Awards

Aquarium Software is celebrating the end of 2019 with another success; we have been shortlisted for the National Insurance Awards.  Aquarium has made it into the final four contenders for the Insurtech Award – Technology and Infrastructure.

These industry awards recognise excellence throughout the UK’s general insurance industry in a total of 30 categories. To make the shortlist for its category, Aquarium has demonstrated its expertise in delivering digital insurance platforms to leading insurers.  Notably, we have had to show how we help make a difference to our customers’ businesses, whether this is operational savings, improved business performance or enhanced customer experience.

Aquarium’s platform manages pet, gadget, travel and health insurance for many of the world’s largest insurers.  In the rapidly growing pet insurance sector, our digital platform is already helping insurers transform the way they manage more than 20,000 claim settlements and collect in excess of £6 million in pet premiums alone every month.  We expect this to increase significantly in 2020.

Described by one of our pet insurance customers as ‘dynamic and responsive’, Aquarium’s cloud-based platform is fully configurable to enable insurers to create, manage, control and administer insurance policies.  It offers a vastly more efficient proposition for insurers to bring new products to market, run customer engagement campaigns, and speed up claim settlements.  We are now at the stage where a claim for medical treatment for a pet can be approved within minutes, which is making a huge difference for urgent and emergency treatments.

“Aquarium’s business has grown significantly this year, and we have invested in our infrastructure to support this.  Our investment includes a senior leadership team, new offices and a team of dedicated project managers responsible for the quality of service and implementation to our customers,” says Ed Shropshire, Managing Director of Aquarium.  “We are well prepared to drive our business growth further in 2020 and are excited about global opportunities, particularly in the USA pet insurance market.”

The National Insurance Awards take place on 5 March 2020, in London.
