Single travel trebles as travel insurance take-up tumbles
January 7, 2019New research shows long term potential for pet insurance market
May 7, 2019Michelle Frankland has become the latest Project Manager appointed by Cheshire-based Insurtech specialist, Aquarium Software, who joins the firm as it embarks on a period of major international expansion.
Frankland is the second Project Manager to join the Aquarium team in recent weeks, following the previous announcement of the recruitment of Carl Kuehl.
Michelle will be working within the Aquarium Consultancy team, providing professional service support to clients, reporting to the Head of Consultancy, Andrew Herndlhofer.
A seasoned professional, Michelle has worked in the insurance industry for over 20 years, including a six year stint as a Software Project Manager, specialising in the insurance sector.
12 years at Co-operative Insurance was followed by a five year spell at CDL, including as Senior Project Manager. A couple of lucrative contracting roles followed, but a move to Aquarium ultimately proved impossible to resist.
“The contracting roles were not the long-term right fit for me and it definitely taught me that you need to be part of a team that you love to work with,” said Michelle.
“I needed to be in a role that challenges me and where my particular traits would be valued.
So I reached out to Bridget and Ed about a move to Aquarium and the rest is history,” Michelle added.
“The best things about Aquarium is the people and the work ethic; it’s a fantastically close-knit team and everyone has personally bought into driving the company on to achieve its full potential.
That feels very special, and I’m really looking forward to playing an important part of the next successful chapter of Aquarium,” said Michelle.
“It is a pleasure to welcome Michelle to the team,” said Aquarium Software Managing Director, Ed Shropshire.
“When we realised Michelle might be available we moved fast to recruit her services.
She will certainly not be short of a challenge here, and we need someone who feels at home in such a fast paced and demanding yet rewarding environment. Michelle really is a perfect fit,” concluded Ed.
Michelle was born and bred in Greater Manchester, (having attended Two Trees High School in Denton) and remains an avid Man City fan.
A life-long love of travel now takes a back seat to allow Michelle to keep up with her busy professional and family demands.
Aquarium Software is used by a number of travel insurers; pet insurers; and other consumer service providers and affinity partners in the UK, Europe, USA and Canada.
