What’s it like to work at Aquarium?

We are a company of planners, running enthusiasts, musicians, developers, teachers, artists, dog walkers, gardeners, sailors, fell runners, chefs, parents, DIYers, programmers and very hard workers.

With such a diverse group of people with so many different skills, we have a unique perspective on everything we do. We are big into helping and sharing our knowledge, realising that we can achieve far more together than on our own.

Our goals are to build the best insurance platform, treat people right, do exceptional work, have fun, share what we know, give back and never stop learning.

We work in a busy environment but one where everyone is accessible when you need them (regardless if you work from the office or from home). We are united by a common set of values; we collaborate, do exceptional work, treat people right, have a positive impact on our community, have fun and keep learning.

But don’t take our word for it. See what our people say about working for Aquarium below:

“We’re a sociable team and there are often events outside of work. We all get on very well, which means every meet-up is great fun.”

Krzysztof Nagrabski - Head of Information Security and Compliance

“I have worked here for over ten years and I get to work on interesting and diverse projects, which can be technically challenging and very engaging. No two days are the same! It’s a pleasure to come to work”

Cathal Sherry - SQL Developer

“Although I’m a relative newcomer here, I feel I have a clear career path and a plan for developing my technical skills; I’m genuinely excited by it.”

Ashley Donson - Senior Support Analyst

“The work can sometimes be challenging but there is always support if you need it. We are given opportunities to get involved in exciting projects.”

Alexandra Maguire - Senior Support Analyst

“I recently joined the Aquarium team and I find everyone really supportive and helpful. The Aquarium Running Club, which is training for ‘Couch to 5K,’ is great and I’m now thinking of applying for a standing desk to support my new found fitness. ”

Zaina Harb - Project Manager

“It’s a great working environment, a large office full of natural light. I love taking myself off to work quietly in the slightly wacky Doghouse and Beach Hut meeting pods”

Andrew Hodkinson - Business Analyst

We have a wonderful office in Altrincham, close to the station and with amazing views over Manchester and the surrounding countryside. Sadly, we have not been in the office for a while as we have been working remotely for obvious reasons. Our people are kitted out with everything they need to work remotely as part of our commitment to keep people safe, secure and productive.
