What is our history?
Aquarium was founded in 2006.
The company spent the first two years of its history creating, developing and testing a business process automation platform that delivered a functionally rich, reliable and cost-effective software solution to financial services businesses.
In 2008 the platform was first deployed to manage insurance claims. In the last 10 years the software has been extended and enhanced to enable insurance companies to quickly and effectively create and deploy insurance propositions and service them across the entire product lifecycle.
Aquarium has now become the de facto standard in the pet and travel insurance markets.
Today Aquarium is used by some of the industry’s leading companies including Direct Line, Legal & General and Pethealth Inc. Insurance brands such as John Lewis and Marks & Spencer trust Aquarium to manage their insurance propositions in these markets.
The company’s platform helps insurers to manage more than 20,000 claim settlements and collect more than £6 million in pet premiums every month and looks after more than four million UK consumers whilst they travel abroad.
